CHOICES
The Physicians Advocate sets itself apart from the competition. We have arrangements to represent almost all of the established and new professional liability insurance companies doing business in Florida. We provide to prospective clients the full spectrum of available markets while pointing out the strengths and weaknesses of each. The ultimate choice will reside with the client, but choices they will have indeed.
SERVICE
We pride ourselves on responding quickly to our client’s needs. As a broker, we are the intermediary between you and the underwriter, so sometimes patience is required while the underwriters make their evaluations and decisions. What we promise to do is get back to you in a very short time from when you have contacted us. If we have not achieved resolution to an issue, we will keep you abreast of developments through the courtesy of a prompt phone call. Stocked with seasoned professionals, at the Physicians Advocate, you will enjoy the high level of responsiveness that you expect and require.
Also, we work with the senior levels of the insurers we represent, often the Chief Underwriting Officer or the President of the insurer. If we do not feel you have received a favorable or reasonable response from an underwriter, we will seek appeal at the higher levels to ensure your best result.
OUR STAFF
Christopher Prestera, JD, CPCU, is President of The Physicians Advocate. Our firm specializes in serving physicians and other healthcare providers in the Medical, Life Sciences and Managed Care industries. Chris has worked in all aspects of the insurance industry beginning his career as a malpractice underwriter in NY to senior management with insurers and brokers over the past 29 years. Along the way, he was also able to collect his CPCU designation, secure his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and he has passed the bar exam in two states.
Matt Harper, is Asst. Vice President of The Physicians Advocate. Matt studied Political Science and Economics at Florida State University before obtaining his insurance licences and joining The Physicians Advocate. Matt also directs operations for our sister company, Healthcare Regulatory Risk Solutions.
Debby Arnemann, is Executive Assistant of The Physicians Advocate.
Marie Aiello, is an equal partner in our new Benefits Division. Every year, we receive inquiries from our clients because they want to leave a PEO and carve-up their benefits program, or inversely they wish to explore the PEO arena. Marie has over 15 years experience with benefits plans and PEO’s. Our new division has many contracts now with established companies in this arena.
Paul Ravenna, has a long and sucessful business background, a degree in econometrics and as an EMT both pre-hospital and significant ED experience. Paul has focused on medical malpractice for Emergency Medicine since the beginning of his insurance career and now represents Emergency Physicians and their associated activities in multiple states.
